The University of Oklahoma Sooners and the University of Florida Gators will face off at 6:30 tonight in the BCS (Bowl Championship Series) National Championship game at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Fla.

The game will be televised on FOX (KOKH-25 in Oklahoma City).

I know it’s not a popular viewpoint here in the heart of Sooner country, but I’ll be rooting tonight for the Gators. My husband went to college in Gainesville and still has family there.

The game looks to be one of the most exciting national championship match-ups of the past few years. It’s the first meeting for the two schools, who have experienced great football success in the past several years. It also pits the No. 1-ranked team in the land (the Sooners) and the No. 2-ranked team, as well as the most recent Heisman Trophy winner – OU quarterback Sam Bradford – against the previous one – Florida quarterback Tim Tebow.

This ought to be good.
