Rascal Flatts to release new album in April
Rascal Flatts announced today via text message to their fans the upcoming release of the band’s sixth studio album, “Unstoppable,” on April 7.
Later tonight, the band, which includes Joe Don Rooney of Picher, will make a special announcement about the upcoming record on the People’s Choice Awards. The country trio band is nominated for favorite group alongside Coldplay and Maroon 5 and favorite country song for their chart-topping single “Take Me There.”
The People’s Choice Awards will air live from 8 to 10 p.m. on CBS.

“Unstoppable,” co-produced by Dann Huff and Rascal Flatts, is the band’s first studio album since 2007’s multi-platinum “Still Feels Good.”
Since their career launched in 2000, Rascal Flatts has sold more than 18 million albums, scored 10 No. 1 singles and 18 top 10 hits, and each of their five studio albums are multi-platinum sellers. They are the reigning American Music Awards, CMT, Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association vocal group of the year.
The trio also was honored as the 2008 Academy of Country Music/The Home Depot Humanitarian Award recipient; the group is dedicated to raising funds for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, where in the past four years they have donated $3 million, and also serves on the American Red Cross Celebrity Cabinet board.
