Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, “Dark Knight” win at People’s Choice Awards

Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts were among the stars with Oklahoma ties that won tonight at the 35th People’s Choice Awards.
Rascal Flatts, which includes Joe Don Rooney of Picher, won favorite group, beating out Coldplay and Maroon 5.
Underwood was named favorite singer over Alicia Keys and Rihanna. Checotah’s favorite daughter won the favorite country song title for her hit “Last Name,” which beat out Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” and Rascal Flatts’ “Take Me There.”
She also was named favorite star under 35 years old, according to Reuters.
In other categories, the year’s biggest box-office hit, “The Dark Knight,” won every category for which it received a nominations, for a total of five.
