Kristin Chenoweth returning to TV
Oklahoma native Kristin Chenoweth is set to co-star in David E. Kelley’s (”Boston Legal,” “Ally McBeal”) new TV drama, “Legally Mad.”
The show, which will air on NBC, is a “quirky legal drama centering on a woman who takes a job at her father’s law firm,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Broken Arrow native and Tony Award winner will play a character with the unlikely name of Skippy Pylon, a brillant attorney with some issues, including a nonstop cheerful attitude and occasional bouts of psychosis.
“I could only picture Kristin playing this role,” Kelley told the trade publication. “I’ve wanted to work with her for a long time and can’t wait to reveal her as someone who’s completely mad.”
Chenoweth was nominated for an Emmy for her supporting work on ABC’s unusual, recently canceled drama “Pushing Daisies.”
