“America’s Cheapest Family” talks to “Today”

The “Today” show earlier this week aired an interesting interview with an Arizona family of seven who lives debt-free on $44,000.
Steve and Annette Economides – interesting name, huh? – have never used a credit card and paid off their first home in nine years. Their five children all have been raised to budget, to shop at thrift stores and to pay cash.
As a graduate of Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, I found their story amazing and inspiring. In the tough economic times, they’re not suffering since they have no debt and emergency savings.
The parents have written a book called “America’s Cheapest Family Gets You Right on the Money: Your Guide to Living Better, Spending Less, and Cashing in on Your Dreams.” After watching the interview, posted here from the “Today” show Web site, I think the book might be worth checking out.
