Due to overwhelming demand for tickets to the upcoming Billy Joel and Elton John concert set for March 17 at Tulsa’s BOK Center, Live Nation officials have opened every seat in the building, according to a news release.
According to the release, there are no obstructed view seats in the house. The show’s production is specifically designed to allow the audience to see Billy Joel and Elton John’s performance from any location within in the arena. The show incorporates full, 360-degree state-of-the-art sound and video, according to the release.
Live Nation President Bob Roux said in the release, “The demand for tickets to this show has been incredible. Billy Joel and Elton John will now be performing to every seat in the BOK Center. The audience sight lines are perfect on both sides of the stage.”
John Bolton, general manager for the BOK Center said in the release, “Billy Joel and Elton John is the first concert with an end stage setup where the demand for tickets has allowed us to open every seat in our venue. We are fortunate that that their stage and production is designed in such a manner so that we are able to accommodate all of their fans.”
The pair opens the concert with a series of duets, playing twin pianos and trading vocals. Each artist then performs a set with his own band. A grand finale brings the two superstars and their supporting musicians back together for a closing encore. This includes some of both Billy and Elton’s greatest hits along with an unpredictable selection of rock and roll classics.
Less than 2,000 tickets remain for the show, according the release, issued Wednesday.
Tickets are available at all Tickets.com outlets, www.bokcenter.com, www.livenation.com, at the BOK Center box office, 200 S Denver, or by phone at (866) 7BOKCTR.
