TULSA – Celebrities and dancers from the top-rated ABC reality show “Dancing with the Stars” will be cutting a rug Jan. 2 to the BOK Center.
In conjunction with “Dancing with the Stars: The Tour,” the Samsung Eternity Local Dance Challenge starts Thursday with a local qualifying event.
The dance competition begins at 7 p.m. today at Strictly Ballroom, 6926 S Lewis, to select 10 semi-finalist couples. Contestants will be judged on talent, presentation, content and personality; the contest is open to dancing couples of all ages.
The semi-finalist couples will dance the jive or the cha cha Jan. 2 in front of the tour’s sold-out audience. They will be judged by a professional dancer from the show’s cast. The winning couple will earn the title of Samsung Eternity “Dancing with the Stars” Local Dance Challenge Champion and a trophy.
For more information, call (918) 488-8336 or go to www.bokcenter.com.
I’ll have an interview with Bass in the coming days, so keep an eye out for that.
