“The Dark Knight” most pirated film of 2008
Well, it was popular with film critics, fanboys and regular movie-goers - and apparently pirates liked “The Dark Knight,” too.
The year’s top-grossing movie also was the most pirated of the year on BitTorrent, IMDB reported, citing TorrentFreak.com. The “Batman Begins” sequel was downloaded 7.03 million times on BitTorrent.
Here is the list of the top 10 pirated films of 2008:
1. The Dark Knight, 7.03 million;
2. The Incredible Hulk, 5.84 million;
3. The Bank Job, 5.41 million;
4. You Don’t Mess With the Zohan, 5.28 million;
5. National Treasure: Book of Secrets, 5.24 million;
6. Juno, 5.19 million;
7. Tropic Thunder, 4.90 million;
8. I Am Legend, 4.87 million;
9. Forgetting Sarah Marshall, 4.40 million;
10. Horton Hears a Who!, 4.36 million.
