Oklahoma country singer Jason Meadows, who hails from Calera, will participate in the annual Christmas for Kids charity event at the Walmart in Hendersonville, Tenn., on Monday.

For a small donation, fans can tour about 50 buses, sent from all over the country by their favorite country music artists and other celebrities, according to a news release.

Each year, various artists have come out to the event to sign autographs and meet the fans. This year, more than 30 artists are participating, including Meadows, The Grascals, Buddy Jewell, Bo Bice, Darryl Worley, The Roys, Chris Young, Jeff Bates, Larry Bagby and TG Sheppard.

The Christmas For Kids Organization has been in existence for more than 20 years, providing special children the opportunity to celebrate the holiday season. Each year, the organization brings the spirit of Christmas to hundreds of children throughout Middle Tennessee, allowing them to participate in festive activities organized especially for them. Events such as the Bus Tour raise money and allow folks to visit the home-away-from-homes of more than 50 celebrities.

All of the proceeds from the Bus Tour and the benefit concert, which was sold out in November at The Ryman Auditorium, is used to escort 400 children from 25 different schools for a day-long excursion. The day consists of a chauffeured trip from their school aboard a luxury tour bus to a local Walmart, where they are accompanied by a volunteer to participate in their own Christmas shopping spree. On the return trip home, the children will participate in a Christmas carol sing-along.

How can this “man” pretend to care about children when he’s over $40K behind on child support to his first two children from his first marriage (and that’s based on what his salary was before his hit songs, cd, and endorsements from Dodge trucks and Wrangler jeans. Read this weeks edition (dtd 12/22) of Star Magazine to get most of the facts. He is not the “family man” that he tries to portray himself in his song 18 video tapes.

He may alot of you fooled, but you have to look past his “star” status to see the real Jason Meadows. Heck, his second marriage to his second “wife” took place before his first marriage was even final. Isn’t that polagamy and against the law?

I know Jason personally, we grew up in the same area. This guy has done nothing but bust his ass to get where he’s at. You can’t say this without knowing his ex, nice timing… and I mean that sincerely, now he can afford to pay up. He isn’t any different than some of the other 100% cowboys from this area, or that they are any different than any other MILLIONS of men that aren’t involved in their kids lives. Sometimes that ex just doesn’t make that possible. What I can tell you is this guy does love his family, and he is admired… there’s alittle something in just about everyones background that taint us all. ALL of us. He’s on his way to anti-up, like I said “nice timing”
