Bonus Video Spotlight: More birthday wishes
Today is my husband Patrick’s 36th birthday. In honor of this big event, I’m dedicating to him a song by one of our favorite bands, Collective Soul.
“The World I Know” was a huge hit back in our college days Oklahoma State University, where we met. When I hear it, I always think of those golden days, back when term papers and finals seemed like such huge responsibilities. Now they seem like a picnic compared to the responsibilities of two kids, two cars and a house payment, but as this song beautifully and poignantly points out, there’s more to life than our everyday burdens.
Since Patrick and I also celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on Dec. 5, this song is appropriate in more than one way.
