Vince Gill’s music getting “Hushabye Baby!” treatment

The “Hushabye Baby!” series, which has previously turned the country music of the late Johnny Cash, George Strait and Oklahoman Carrie Underwood into instrumental lullabies, is giving Oklahoma native Vince Gill’s hits a similar treatment.
Parent company CMH Records, which also created the critically-acclaimed and award-winning “Rockabye Baby!” rock series, announced today the upcoming releases of “Hushabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Vince Gill” on Feb. 10. An album of lullabies based on the late Patsy Cline’s hits will come out the same day.
A “Hushabye Baby!” installment of Willie Nelson songs will drop on Jan. 27, according to a news release.
The melodies of country hits are are graced with the gentle sounds of guitars, fiddle and pedal steel, and sweetened with celeste, glockenspiel and xylophone, embracing diapered darlings in a soft blanket of musical bliss.
According to the release, the series Baby has been hailed as “gently hip” (Newsday) and “beautiful” (Orlando Weekly) since the line debuted with its initial collections of songs by Cash, Strait and Underwood. iParenting Media‹the premier product evaluation and testing service in the country for children’s and family products‹has given the series its seal of approval with four “Excellent Product” awards.
Also cool are the CD’s 100 percent recycled, 50 percent post-consumer recycled packages feature charming and colorful barnyard scenes at the Hushabye Farm.
Inside are such family fun features as a mini baby-book, a bio of a featured barnyard character, and a healthy baby food recipe created by executive chef Jeff Parker, making Hushabye Baby the ideal gift for baby showers and other special occasions.
Future Hushabye Baby releases will spotlight songs by Oklahoman Garth Brooks, Rascal Flatts (which includes guitarist Joe Don Rooney of Picher), Dolly Parton and other notable artists.
