Christian Kane comes home for the holidays, to promote “Leverage”
Actor/musician Christian Kane, who was raised in Norman, has returned to Oklahoma to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday and to promote his new TV series “Leverage.”
Kane, best known for playing Lindsey on the series “Angel,” stopped by the offices of The Oklahoman and NewsOK today and sat down with me for an interview and a video interview and also posed for a photo shoot. He was quite generous with his time, and he even volunteered to call my sister, an avid fan of “Angel.”
He seems genuinely pumped about “Leverage,” in which he plays the tough fighter among a group of professional thieves and criminals led by an honest man (OTimothy Hutton). The group forms a “consulting firm” called Leverage, designed to stick it to heartless corporations and government entities that use and abuse ordinary folks.
Kane, who also is working on a country album, was planning to spend the rest of his day working, too, playing a gig tonight at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill and then hosting a special screening of the pilot episode of “Leverage” at the Harkins Bricktown 16. He also is supposed to do a Q&A after the screening.
“Leverage” debuts Sunday night on TNT. It then will air regularly on Tuesdays on the cable network.
I’ll have more with Kane about “Leverage” and his other projects later in the week. Stay tuned.
