Robert Pattinson’s “Twilight” soundtrack surprise

The film version of the best-selling book “Twilight” not only has made British actor Robert Pattinson a teen idol, it also has made him a recording artist.
The actor who plays the beautiful and morally upright vampire Edward contributed two songs to the film, including “Never Think,” which is featured on the official “Twilight” soundtrack.
But according to the Los Angeles Times’ Hero Complex blog, Pattinson, 22, was surprised at the inclusion of the two songs. Apparently, he didn’t know that ”a mysterious third party” had given ”Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke a copy of music he had recorded unbeknownst to Pattinson. She decided to use two of the songs, and he was surprised to hear them when viewing early film footage.
“When I went to see the cut,” Pattinson told Hero Complex contributor Gina McIntyre, “she’d put these two songs in. They’re old songs, but one of them specifically, it really made the scene better. It was like it was supposed to be there. It’s strange because what was supposed to be at that point in the movie was a big orchestral film climax. Instead it’s this little song with acoustic guitar. I’m singing it, maybe that makes it different, but it’s kind of overwhelming. I hope it’s overwhelming.”
Pattinson also told her he hopes people don’t think he’s angling for a music career. He said he’s never really recorded, just played pubs and the like.
“I really didn’t want it to look like I was trying to cash in. I hope it doesn’t come across as that. I’m not going to be doing any music videos or anything. Music is my backup plan if acting fails. I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket,” he said.
Both the film and soundtrack for “Twilight” have been big hits, with Summit Entertainment announcing today that it will adapt the second book in Stephenie Meyer’s four-novel “Twilight” saga. We will see if Pattinson will contribute to the soundtrack of the second film.

Robert Pattinson.. Alaround amazing. He’s got talent and ya just gotta give him his props! He is a great actor who really getrsin into his character role AND he’s a singer! His voice is simply soothing and for many of the girls out their he gives us butterflies! But this great work of art, is completely modest, he doesn’t watch what he acts in and he doesn’t listen to him self. To me that seams so sweet. 
I really wish him the best of luck in his future and hope things workout for him where ev er life takes him
robert pattinson has a great voice, hes a great actor, and he plays the piano and guitar now who doesn’t want a guy like that i love his song “never think” and i love the music he wrote in “bellas lullaby”

My friends always badgered me to read Twilight but I never caught onto it until after the movie was released. Still I was strong and made myself read the first book before seeing the movie because I didn’t want it to ruin the book for me.
Fantastic books made into pretty good movies. I think they did a great job casting and Kristin and Robert have so much stage presence and chemistry that they work wonderfully together.
Rob has a lot of talent and I hope he gets far in his acting career. I’m sure he’ll get somewhere with whatever he chooses in life because of his talent and modesty.
I just really wanna know how they changed his british accent to american in Twilight.
Someone please tell me.

Rob did an awsome job in twilight. i can’t wait to see the dvd version of it!!!! He is also a great singer.. you got ur own style rob i’ll give u that.. It was all a hit! D books,movie,soundtracks..I cnt think of any actor besides robert pattinson could make such a hit!Wow..He is really something..Not to mention d 2 songs he contributed 4 d movie..Never think is my favorite..He’s so talented..I admire him so much..Ive never been this so involvd..Its like im just watching d movie and reading all d stephenie meyers books all over and over again..Because of robert pattinson..And im definitely looking 4ward for his album..I love his voice..So masculine and captivating..Full of emotions..Its like u can relate to his songs!

I have read and reread all of the Twilight series. I absolutely love Rob and Kristen together. I am older than some of the teens that love the movie. I so appreciate the love between Edward and Bella. I think Stephanie did a wonderful job of portraying their love. I believe that anyone other than Robert Pattinson could not have done the story justice. What a talented man. Beautiful face, beautiful acting and beautiful singing. I believe he is one of the most talented actors to come along in a long time.
Rob has a beautiful voice. Hope he records an album in the future!
