Metallica’s James Hetfield talks “Death Magnetic,” admits addiction to “health stuff”

While I interviewed Kirk Hammett prior to Metallica’s Tulsa show tonight, The Houston Chronicle’s Andrew Dansby talked to James Hetfield in advance of the band’s Thursday show at the Toyota Center.
In the Q&A, the Metallica frontman laughs about the band’s “weird” addiction to “health stuff” like reflexology and acupuncture rather than booze and pills. He also talks enthusiastically about “Death Magnetic,” reflects back on the often-maligned “St. Anger” album and reveals some of the surprising records in his collection.
