‘Walking with Dinosaurs’ bound for Tulsa
TULSA – Oklahomans are getting a second set of chances to see lifelike animatronic dinosaurs roam the earth.
“Walking with Dinosaurs: The Arena Spectacular” will stomp into Tulsa’s new BOK Center for eight shows Jan. 28-Feb. 1, arena management announced this week.
Last month, the Ford Center announced that the herd of walking, roaring and fighting full-scale dinosaurs will invade the Oklahoma arena for eight performances Jan. 21-25.
The arena show is based on the Emmy Award-winning BBC television series “Walking with Dinosaurs.” It will feature 10 species, including Tyrannosaurus rex, stegosaurus and allosaurus. The brachiosaurus, the largest reptile in the show, measures 36 feet tall and 56 feet long from nose to tail.
Almost two million Americans have seen the production since it opened in July 2007.
Tickets for the Tulsa show go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 17. Prices are $29.50, $39.50, $49.50, and $59.50.
Tickets will be available by phone at Ö (866) 726-5287, online at Ö www.bokcenter.com, or in person at the Arby’s Box Office (located at the BOK Center). For group tickets, call Ö (918) 894-4252.
