After 25 years with MCA Nashville, Oklahoma country superstar Reba McEntire has signed with Valory Music Co., Billboard.com reported today.

The move reunites McEntire with Scott Borchetta, who was senior vice president of promotion at MCA Nashville for most of the 1990s. He now is president and CEO of Big Machine Records and the Valory Music Co., according to the Billboard story.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Valory team,” McEntire tells the music industry Web site. “Scott and I worked together on some of the biggest singles of my career, and I am excited to renew our partnership.”

McEntire, who was born in McAlester and raised in Chockie, released Oct. 28 “50 Greatest Hits,” a box set chronicling her successful tenure at MCA Nashville, dating back to her first hit on MCA, 1984′s “How Blue,” and ending with “Because of You,” her 2007 duet with Kelly Clarkson.

According to the Billboard story, Valory, the label home of Jewel, Emerson Drive and Jimmy Wayne, launched about a year ago. Valory and sister label Big Machine – home to Taylor Swift, Jack Ingram and fellow Oklahoman Trisha Yearwood – are distributed by Universal Music Distribution.

The story says we can expect McEntire’s first single on Valory next spring, with a new album planned for summer 2009.

I have always saw Reba, as a kind hearted women that wants a good life for all. She made it seam like she knows life is hard and money is short for a single mom. But no single mom could afford 130 a ticket to see her. I just don’t under stand. Pls help me.
