Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus to appear on “GMA,” present at CMA Awards

Popular father-daughter acting/singing duo Miley Cyrus, star of Disney’s “Hannah Montana” and the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures animated film “Bolt,” and her father, TV co-star and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus will perform Wednesday on ABC’s ”Good Morning America” to promote the 42nd Annual CMA Awards.
They are also scheduled to present a trophy Wednesday night during the awards show, which will air live from Nashville, Tenn., on ABC (KOCO-5 in Oklahoma City).
The “Good Morning America” concert event will take place on the Chevy Stage at the Sommet Center’s outside plaza at the corner of Broadway and Fifth Avenue in Nashville and is presented by Chevrolet.
“With Miley and Billy Ray performing on ‘Good Morning America’ you can leave the caffeine in the coffee pot,” said CMA Chief Executive Officer Tammy Genovese in a news release. “What a great way to jump start the day and then tune in that night for their appearance on the CMA Awards. It’s Miley and Billy Ray from sun up to sun down and I know their fans in Nashville will be out in droves to see them!”
Performers at this year’s CMA Awards will include co-hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, along with Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Rodney Atkins, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney with The Wailers, the Eagles, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, James Otto, Kellie Pickler, Darius Rucker, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, and a surprise performer.
Other presenters will include Vince Gill, Julianne Hough, Heidi Newfield, Jake Owen, John Rich, Swift, Josh Turner, Jimmy Wayne, Lee Ann Womack, Academy Award-winning actresses Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman, and superstar actor Hugh Jackman, and a surprise presenter.
