Queen + Paul Rodgers concert film showing tonight
The recently recorded and never-before-seen Ukraine concert “Queen + Paul Rodgers: Let the Cosmos Rock” lights up the big screen at 7:30 tonight at more than 425 movie theaters across the country.
The high-definition concert film will screen in Oklahoma at Quail Springs 24, 2501 W Memorial Road; Tinseltown USA, 6001 N Martin Luther King Ave.; and Spotlight 14, 1100 N Interstate Drive, Norman; and Cinemark Tulsa 17 with IMAX,
10802 E 71 Street S, Tulsa.
This one-night-only event will be the only chance for U.S. audiences to experience this historic concert featuring the band’s greatest hits and new music, according to a news release.
NCM Fathom and Hollywood Records are bringing the show to the big screen. Queen
+ Paul Rodgers kicked off their 2008-09 sold-out world tour with this
powerful concert at the historic Freedom Square in Kharkov, Ukraine, on Sept. 12 in front of more than 350,000 fans.
“With this exclusive in-theatre event, fans of Queen + Paul Rodgers have an incredible opportunity to see this amazing concert alongside other fans in the personal setting of their local movie theatre,” said Dan Diamond, vice president of NCM Fathom, in the release. “This concert was performed in the Ukraine for hundreds of thousands and NCM Fathom is proud to offer U.S. fans an exclusive chance to feel like they were there.”
“The Cosmos Rocks,” Queen’s first new studio release in nearly a decade and a half, was released Oct. 28.
