Roman reaction

About 2,200 people crowded into the special exhibition “Roman Art from the Louvre” at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art on Saturday, the day before the exhibit closed. Here’s what some of them had to say:

- “We (she and husband Todd) lived in Italy for four months in Rome, and so for us, it was a chance to reminisce, just for memory’s sake more than anything after seeing so many museums there. … I was impressed that they had something that prestigious coming here.”

- Katie Clingan of Tulsa.

- “I’m glad she’s (her 5-year-old daughter Brooklyn) getting to see it; hopefully we’ll get some brochures or something so we can read it when she gets a little bit older and she’ll recall some of it and appreciate it. … “I feel like it’s amazing that we got the opportunity to have this come here.”

- Karen Woodard of Oklahoma City.

- “I thought it was great. I don’t understand how something can survive this many centuries; I’m not gonna look that good when I’m that old.”

- Kent Buttram of Broken Arrow.
