“Kung Fu Panda” sequel planned
Paramount Pictures announced today that DreamWorks Animation is planning a sequel to the summer blockbuster “Kung Fu Panda.”
The sequel will be in 3D and is set for June 3, 2011 release, according to the announcement.
“Kung Fu Panda” centers on a lazy panda named Po (voice of Jack Black) who is called upon to save his homeland from a wicked snow leopard, Tai Lung (Ian McShane). The movie also features the voice talents of Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogen and Lucy Liu.
The computer-animated movie made more than $215 million at the box office, for sixth place on the list of this year’s top money makers, according to www.the-numbers.com.

You should mention that this will actually be the THIRD “Kung Fu Panda” movie. They filmed a companion movie and released it on DVD with the first one (which was a brillant idea, by the way).
