Wednesday Video Spotlight: Metallica
I’ve been listening all week to the new Metallica CD “Death Magnetic,” the heavy metal giants’ best album in ages. I’ll be bringing you a full review posthaste.
In honor of the new CD, and the band’s nomination for the 2009 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class, this week’s spotlight shines on some of Metallica’s music videos, including the harrowing video for “The Day That Never Comes” from “Death Magnetic.” The new video takes place among American soldiers in a desert war zone, so it’s very timely.
Obviously, it’s not practical for me to post all the great videos that band has made in its more than 25-year career since there are just so many. But these are some of my favorites. All of these videos are courtesy YouTube and Metallica’s YouTube channel, MetallicaTV, and there are plenty more where these came from.
