TULSA – Today is your last chance to celebrate Scottish culture and heritage at the annual Oklahoma Scottish Festival on the west bank of the Arkansas River.

The festival, now in its 29th year, is renowned for its authentic Scottish music, food, athletic challenges and dancing. Event hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the River West Festival Park, 2100 S. Jackson Ave.

Wicked Tinkers, Celtic Cheer, Flowers of Edinburgh and more will provide live entertainment. Children’s activities will be offered in the Kids’ Glen.

New to this year’s festival is an event definitely not designed for kids: A whisky tasting will be offered at 2 p.m. A “Whisky Master” will teach the finer points of enjoying five single malts; participants will receive a free shot glass.

Admission is $3 and children younger than 6 are admitted free.
