Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn featured in Country Weekly
The Sept. 8 issue of Country Weekly offers the story behind Oklahoma country music star Blake Shelton’s No. 1 hit “Home.”
The issue, on sale now, also has cover stories on Brooks & Dunn (which includes Ronnie Dunn of Tulsa), Taylor Swift and Alan Jackson.
Canadian crooner Michael Buble co-wrote “Home” and included it on his 2005 chart-topping album “It’s Time.” Shelton’s version includes harmony vocals by his girlfriend, neighboring Tishomingo landowner and fellow country star Miranda Lambert. (I’ll have an interview with Lambert, who is playing at the Oklahoma State Fair, in the coming weeks.)
