The nonprofit arts organization Individual Artists of Oklahoma is selling chances to win one of Jeff Gordon’s official Winston Cup NASCAR racing cars.

Local entrepreneur, Bill Bonadio of Dio Cars Inc. donated the General Motors Monte Carlo, which Gordon raced at the 2002 Daytona and Talladega Winston Cup NASCAR races, according to a news release.

As many NASCAR fans remember, Gordon blew the original engine at Talladega, and it was replaced with a 650 horsepower iron head Hendricks motor in full working condition.

Raffle tickets are $100 each and are available at the IAO Gallery, 811 N Broadway, or online at www.okctickets.com/e/1029/iaosjeffgordonracerraffle. People must be at least 18 years old and in the continental United States to enter.

Proceeds from the raffle will benefit contemporary art and artists in Oklahoma through IAO’s programs, according to the release.

IAO is committed to sustaining and encouraging emerging and established artists in all media who are intellectually and aesthetically provocative or experimental in subject matter or technique.

The winner of the race car will be drawn Dec. 12 at Santiago Auctions’ Oklahoma City Classic Collector Car Auction and Show at the Cox Pavilion in State Fair Park, 3001 General Pershing Blvd.

The winner doesn’t have to be present to win. But the winner is responsible for shipping the vehicle.
