Carrie to pay tribute to Eddy Arnold
Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will perform a live tribute to Eddy Arnold during the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, it was announced today.
The awards show will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas at 7 p.m. Sunday on CBS. Please visit BAM’s Blog Sunday night to follow along with my live-blog of the event.
Underwood and Paisley are the reigning ACM top female and male vocalists, having won the titles at last year’s awards show.
Arnold, whose mellow baritone on hits like “Make the World Go Away” made him a country music legend, died May 8 at the age of 89. Oklahoman Vince Gill was among the performers at Arnold’s funeral, which took place Wednesday in Nashville.
