Wednesday Video Spotlight

My older son, Chris, 13, provided the topic for this week’s Video Spotlight. For the past couple of years, several machinima artists on YouTube have been using the “Halo” game engines to recreate various “Monty Python” sketches and film scenes. Chris especially enjoys the “Halo” version of “How Not to Be Seen.”

Personally, I prefer these “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” tributes to the “Knights of the Round Table” musical number and to Sir Lancelot’s ravaging of Prince Herbert’s wedding.

You can find dozens of these machinima spoofs - which vary widely in quality and creativity - on YouTube by searching for “Halo” and “Monty Python.”

Now, go away, or I shall taunt you a second time. (Yep, that one’s there, too.)

You know, I have the weird feeling that the Pythons would totally approve of these. BTW, I have to agree with Chris. The “how not to be seen” one is my favorite.
