Trisha and family to promote cookbook
Another Oklahoma country music star, Trisha Yearwood, also will be featured on the Great American Country channel on Saturday Night.
“Trisha Yearwood: From Our Kitchen to Yours” will air at 8 p.m. Saturday on GAC, according to a news release.
Yearwood recently released the cookbook “Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen: Recipes From My Family to Yours,” which she wrote with her mother, Gwen Yearwood, and sister, Beth Yearwood Bernard. Her husband, native Oklahoman and fellow country music star Garth Brooks, penned the foreword to the cookbook.
Yearwood, her mom and sister will share the stories behind the recipes and the process of creating the cookbook on the TV program. The show also will feature some of Yearwood’s videos including “Georgia Rain,” “Everybody Knows,” “Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love,” “Walkaway Joe” and “Squeeze Me In.”
Sharon Dowell, food editor with The Oklahoman, featured Yearwood and her new cookbook on the Food section last Wednesday. Check out her great feature by clicking here.
Yearwood, her mom and sister are set to sign copies of the cookbook at 7 p.m. today at Borders Books, Movies, Music & Cafe, 3209 Northwest Expressway. You’ll need a ticket for the signing, and they’re supposed to be available today at the bookstore. But you’ll need to call 848-2667 for more information.
