What to do in Oklahoma on May 1
Happy May! Today’s featured event:
The Oklahoma City Museum of Art is opening its roof terrace for the season tonight. The museum will host Cocktails on the Skyline for the new hours of 5 to 10:30 p.m. every Thursday, weather permitting, through October.
The weekly event includes a full bar, appetizers from the Museum Cafe, live music and an incomparable view the city’s skyline. You can also tour the galleries, including the Brett Weston photography retrospective, which will leave the museum on May 18.
Tonight’s musical entertainment will be provided by the Jazz Company band, featuring Brian Gorrell and Shane Conaway.
Cocktails on the Skyline is open to all ages, but of course, visitors must be at least 21 years old to be served alcohol.
Admission is free for members and $9 for nonmembers, which includes admission to the galleries, $7 seniors and students. (Starting June 19-Oct. 12, there will be a surcharge for the exhibition Roman Art from The Louvre.)
