Wednesday Video Spotlight
I just can’t shake the image of Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant accepting a big belt buckle statuette at Monday night’s CMT Music Awards. It’s such a wild, awesome image.
He and bluegrass star Alison Krauss won Wide Open Country Video of the Year award, which the fan-voted awards show gives to artists outside mainstream country music. Robert and Alison certainly seem to qualify.
But their cover of the Everly Brothers’ “Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)” was my favorite song off their great 2007 album “Raising Sand.” And the video is a lot of fun; they have a great rapport.

Nice song, but the balloon things just creeped me out.
