The definition of what a Best Picture Winner should be, but it was denied because it had the misfortune of being nominated the same year that the country was going through its "Titanic" fad. Does anyone really believe that "Titanic" was a better film? I'm not talking about did you enjoy it more; I'm talking about filmmaking which is what the OSCARs are supposed to be about. Feel shame, Academy Members! Feel deep, dark Marisa Tomei has an OSCAR but Peter O'Toole does not type shame! Also, yeah for dramatic readings again! Re: “L.A. Confidential”
