As host Ryan Seacrest mentioned on Thursday’s “American Idol,” the hit TV singing contest will be appearing on a letter, bill or greeting card in a mailbox near you.

PhotoStamps.com is creating a series of limited-edition postage featuring past “Idol” victors Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks and Jordin Sparks, along with the as-yet-undetermined seventh season winner.

PhotoStamps featuring Season One winner Clarkson are available now at photostamps.com.

According to a news release, future PhotoStamps, featuring a different “Idol” every week, will be available online Tuesdays for the next six weeks.

Net proceeds from the sales the PhotoStamps will benefit the reality series’ fundraising effort, “Idol Gives Back.”

For maximum collectibility, the “American Idol” postage will have exclusive designs for each of the 50 states, according to the release. Only 100,000 sheets of PhotoStamps will be issued weekly, and each state will have its own design on 2,000 of the sheets.

The PhotoStamps can be used just like regular first-class stamps, each with a 42-cent value.

A sheet of 20 PhotoStamps sells for $19.99.
