Upcoming live blog: CMT Music Awards
Visit BAM’s Blog on Monday evening when I will be live-blogging about the CMT Music Awards. Several Oklahomans are nominated for the fan-voted awards, which honor the year’s top music videos and performances.
The seventh annual event, hosted by Miley “Hannah Montana” Cyrus and her “Achy-Breaky Heart” dad Billy Ray, will be broadcast live at 7 p.m. Monday from Nashville’s Curb Event Center at Belmont University. It will be shown on Country Music Television or CMT.com.
Performers at the star-studded event will include Okie hitmakers Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith and Rascal Flatts (which includes Joe Don Rooney of Picher) along with chart-toppers Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Sugarland and Taylor Swift.
The final day for fans to vote on the awards is tomorrow; voting takes place at CMT.com.
See BAM’s Blog on Monday for up-to-the-moment insights and quips on the event.

Hey, that’s part of the gig. I cover the country music beat, and we’ve got a lot of people in this state who are talented in that particular arena.

I didn’t mean enough with it on the blog. I meant enough of it entirely. I don’t think we need any more. Surely, there’s enough of it out there already.

Enough with the country music already!
