Researchers at NASA are routing for the collision.  What?!  Um yeah, I think we should hope it doesn&#8217;t come near our part of the solar system because if it could plow into Mars, I think it could just as easily smash into us.  (You know Earth is next to Mars.)  NASA officials claim the asteroid poses no threat to Earth, but can they really predict what an asteroid speeding in space at 27,900 mph is going to do?  Perhaps they can, and trust me I hope they&#8217;re right! <img src='http://blog.newsok.com/angibruss/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
