What’s in a Name?
A lot, if you’re a new baby named after the current Republican candidates. A father in Tennessee put the name Sarah McCain Palin on the documents for his newborn’s birth certificate. And the baby girl’s mother knew nothing about it! That’s going to end up in court. The name is a far stretch from what Mom thought they decided on together, Ava Grace. Dad says he “…took one for the cause”. Um, I’m pretty sure your baby girl actually took one for the cause. 
Time to Breathe
The thought of giving birth sends chills up my spine. I’m scared to death of it, but since I would like biological children, I guess one day I’ll have to face it. One mother in California did it all on her own, in her front yard no less. 36-year-old Jessica Higgins had just pulled up in her driveway with her 2-year-old son sleeping in the back seat when the baby decided it was time to breathe in some oxygen. She called for an ambulance, but when police got there, she was already cradling the newborn in her arms. Her husband arrived just in time to cut the umbilical cord. Baby and mom are doing fine and in the hospital. Now hopefully her husband can clean up the mess in the front lawn.
Making Babies Has it’s Rewards
Yep I said it, but Russia made the rule. In Ulyanovsk, Russia the government is actually giving people time off work to procreate! If you give birth on June 12th, Russia’s national day, you’ll receive money, cars, refrigerators, etc. Seriously. Sounds like a great day to schedule that cesarean!
Last year President Vladimir Putin got in on the uh… act. By promising to give cash subsidies to women who gave birth to more than one child. This year if you give birth to a second or third child you’ll receive a $10,000 voucher!
Some say children are a blessing that gives fulfillment in their lives. Well looks like Russia just gave a new meaning to that belief. Having children is literally rewarding!
