Shark vs. Dog
![]()
It appears that dogs really are a part of the family. In Florida a man dove in after his 14-pound rat terrier when a shark decided the furry creature looked good enough to eat. With the dog almost entirely in the shark’s mouth, the man hit the shark in the back, which caused it to finally let go of the fortunate pet. The man and his… uh, best friend swam back to shore and neither one are critically injured. Lucky or crazy? You decide!
Palintitis
There seems to be more women who look like Sarah Palin than any other presidential or vice-presidential nominee before. Now a TV news anchor in Maine says she’s been getting “hate mail and nasty phone calls” from viewers who think she’s trying to copy the vice-presidential hopeful. She says this style is nothing new for her, that at times she wears her hair up and puts on glasses. She does admit the comparison is welcomed, saying Palin is a “beautiful woman”. But some viewers are accusing her of trying to subliminally sway votes. I guess that’s one way to do it!
9 Lives
It’s certain, cats must have nine lives. A lost cat was returned to her owners after a long nine years! Yep, that’s what I typed… 9 years! The 15-year-old cat was identified by its microchip. I guess those things work after all. The owners thought the cat was long gone, hit by a car… but nope! It appears kitty was on an extended vacation. The furry feline was found less than a half-mile from the owner’s home. Hmm… makes me wonder, if the cat was that close, did she really wanted to come home?
The Bird Caller
So this little birdie was persistently crying for help in a home in New Jersey when the neighbors took the call seriously. They mistakenly thought the bird was a human and called police. When the police arrived and no one came to the door, they decided to knock it down. The bird was still crying for help in its cage when the police entered. I wonder if the owner of the bird can get fined for spending taxpayer’s money on a fake call!
