Um yeah… did you get that memo? I hope you did if you live in Rancho Cordova, California otherwise you’re in for a surprise. You see, police there are pulling over GOOD drivers to wish them happy holidays. You maybe thinking, “Wow, that would be annoying.” But wait, there’s more! Police are also handing over a $5 Starbucks gift card to the unsuspecting motorists. Local businesses donated some major bucks to buy the gifts. The hope is that more people will like the cops. Yep, that’s one way to do it! Guess the officers don’t agree with the old song “Can’t Buy Me Love”.

Google, Google…
Doesn’t that sound like a baby term? How DID they come up with that? A new study is finding more people are googling themselves… uh. That just doesn’t sound right.
But it’s true, more people are searching for information on themselves. So have you? I’ll admit I have, but it wasn’t until someone else said they had googled me first and I wanted to see what they found! The study also found people are checking out their friends, co-workers and romantic interests! I must say that is a great way to find out about someone, if there’s information on him or her. I guess the more our world is using the internet to post information about us whether through a job, hobby or just personal life the easier it is to get a snapshot of our lives. Hmm… that’s kind of frightening.
Do you ever feel like shopping for the holidays is stressful? If yes, then you might be like me and put it off until Christmas Eve. Uh, bad idea. I guess I feel too overwhelmed, so I just avoid thinking about it by not doing it. In the end that makes it much worse. You know what I love about the holidays? I love having nothing to do but hang out with my family. That’s my idea of a holiday. We have so much fun together, that’s the best Christmas present I could ever get. Seriously. But worrying about getting all the gifts can take away the excitement of the Holiday Spirit. So how do I get back into the spirit and still buy presents? I think I’ll use Santa as an example by making a list. And try not to buy all of the gifts at the same time!

Foggy Times
I keep waiting for the fog to clear. All day I kept thinking, ‘Oh it’ll burn off or clear up or something.’ But no! I can’t see out my office windows, it’s like our whole building is in a cloud. It’s a little spooky out there! Be careful this weekend I hear old man winter is creeping in. I sure wish he wouldn’t.

Electric Eel
If the world ever runs low on electricity, I know where we can find it! Our fishy friends, the eels, produce electricity in their bodies! A central Japan aquarium already figured out this amazing eel trick and is utilizing it for their Christmas tree. When the eel touches a copper wire in the tank, the Christmas tree lights up! Now that’s what I call energy savings!
