I wanna know. I need to know. I have to know. Isn’t that how we act when it comes to hearing about Britney Spears? Why do we follow her every move? Why do we care? Is it kind of like a freak show that we know we’ll be horrified, but yet we’re still curious? So we look. It’s interesting how we followed her every move when she was… uh, normal and seemingly healthy and now that she’s fallen upon hard times (many hard times) we still follow. What is it with Britney Spears? Does she just know how to work the system? I think it’s funny how people make money off of her whether it’s an entertainment/tabloid magazine or a distraught crazed fan hysterically crying and ends up getting his own show from it. Is it all publicity stunts or is the public really craving more Britney?
People feel sorry for her and probably rightly so, but there’s a part of me that thinks may be, just may be she really loves all the attention. Remember girls in their early 20’s can be drama queens and crave attention, well Britney was in her late teens and early 20’s when the media went nuts after her. I keep thinking we’ll get worn out over it… but so far it seems we just want more.
Who knows? I sure don’t. I hope the best for the previous Mouseketeer, blonde, shaved head, wife, and pop star. She’s been a lot of things, hopefully she’ll find her way back to happiness.

I think that she is very insecure and craves the attention to soothe her insecurities. She is accustomed to just having things go her way no matter what she has done, and doesnt seem to have adjusted to post-stardom very well. Having been very close to someone with bipolar disorder for a number of years, I think that she manifests many signs of the illness as well. As a 34-year-old male, I can’t say that I have ever been a fan of her “music”, but I truly pity her. Money can’t buy rational thought…. I hope for her sake that she hits rock-bottom soon and is able to look up and learn.

I’m a Gen X female and have never loved Britney Spears. But I don’t think it’s my age that keeps me from liking her tunes. I just don’t like her music. I hope she is able to remember what really matters in life.
