The War on Socks
You’ve seen the terrible mistake, socks with sandals. Well a Dutch finance ministry official is going a step further and taking on – white socks… with or without sandals. He proclaims he’s against white socks… ALL white socks! He says white socks cross “the limits of decent dress behavior.” Obviously this made headlines declaring the Dutch government was waging war on white socks! But they say the official did not speak for the government, only for himself. Hmm.. it appears the Dutch have a fashion guru in office!

Oh yes, I lived in Florida for a bit and definitely know this amazing fashion mistake. I say amazing because, really, they think that looks good? Or perhaps it’s more about keeping their legs warm!
I think its because white socks would blend in with their leg color a little too well, then everyone would think they were sock-less Georgians (insert southern state of your choice)….
Oh to have such important things to worry about! I am more concerned about the dark socks worn with shorts by the Florida-bound Northerners who seem to frequent every single Cracker Barrel resturant along I-75….
