I’ll add two notions: 1) People usually match with others who are in the same level and type of “attractiveness”; that’s why it sometimes looks as if someone has mated with their sister/brother 2) Intelligence is one avenue to respect, which I think is the true counterpart to beauty, or attractiveness

We might intend to, we might pretend to, but in a natural state, its still there. Without some Divine intervention (and I seriously mean that), we never emotionally mature beyond about age 14.

Yes, some girls compete to look better than one another. But it’s for the ultimate goal… to get the guy’s attention.

Havent you ever met someone, and initially you don’t think that much about their appearance, but as you get to know their heart, and what kind of person they are, you begin seeing them with different eyes? Although at least 85% of all males would probably disagree with me, I think that the inner qualities of someone overpower the external appearance (usually quickly and easily). I would write a longer reply, except that I need to go check out http://www.supermodelswholikefunnyguys.com. Here is my moment of clarity…women do NOT try to look good for men, but for other women! Men really don’t care that much….thats my story and I’m sticking to it!
